So the Nigerian fashion industry has experience a growth numerically in terms of profits made, contribution to the nations GDP and the number of people participating in it; this is a result of the  endless awareness created by consumers and also the government..  Made in Nigeria outfits are everywhere and are relatively cheaper and last longer than their foreign counterparts, with the likes of designers like zizi cardow and various fashion houses across the nation,  Nigeria now has a fairly firm stand in the African fashion market.  For those who don't know,  fashion doesn't just create opportunities for designers but also for make up artists, hair stylists, shoe and bag makers, cosmetologist and lots more

We have seen a lot of our celebrities come out in dresses designed by Nigerians and most times its hard to differentiate them because the works are of international standards, we are talented and every day new designers emerge with beautiful and eye catching works which has made the market  competitive. Only a few designers will ever achieve the desired fame but it doesn't mean the others die off, NO!! The industry is flexible in such a way that you can achieve fame and make the money you want as long as your work is good and you have the right publicity.

Northern designers are making waves all across the nation and it's a pity that we don't really know much about them but don't worry,  we will tell you about the great designers and fashion houses that rule the north in our next publication,  this is will include interviews with the CEOs and of course lots of pictures.  Welcome to ArewaDesigns designers blog.
